Problem

The majority of Converse digital direct-to-consumer sales are through it’s desktop .com experience. China is 1. A mobile first marketplace and 2. Does not use brand .com websites in any meaningful way.

Solution

Serve the Chinese consumer with a socially integrated mobile-first experience via WeChat, and in doing so define the mobile experience for Converse globally. Nike China Design team pitched both Global and China Converse leadership to concept and lead the design, with a successful launch of Nike’s first China mobile experience as proof of competency and efficiency.

Results

Post a successful launch the project was held up as a rare example of Nike Inc. inter-company efficiency and partnership.
